UNC Health currently has Orthopedic Surgeon opportunities with UNCPN established clinics located in eastern NC! Whether you're an experienced orthopedic surgeon or a recent fellowship graduate, this is your chance to be part of a well-established, physician-led network supported by UNC Health’s cutting-edge resources and robust clinical practice.

Practice Overviews

• Kinston, NC (UNC Health Lenoir): A community-focused practice, offering general orthopedic services with an emphasis on total joint replacements. You will also support local athletic teams and provide care for a wide variety of orthopedic conditions.
• Lumberton, NC (UNC Health Southeastern): A growing orthopedic team, providing both general orthopedic services and specialty care. This location is seeking two orthopedic surgeons, one specializing in joint arthroplasty and one specializing in hand/upper extremity surgery. The practice is housed in a newly renovated $15M OR suite with state-of-the-art facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in call rotation.
• Utilize Epic EMR for patient documentation and management.
• Provide surgical care across a range of orthopedic conditions.
• Support local athletic teams and community events (Kinston).

Qualifications

• Board Certified/Board Eligible (BC/BE) in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Fellowship training or significant experience in total joint replacements and/or hand/upper extremity surgery.
• Unrestricted MD/DO license in North Carolina or eligible.
• Ability to meet credentialing requirements at UNC Health
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to patient care.
